Regenerative Medicine
Joint Pain Relief
Without Surgery
New Treatments Now Available for Joint Pain
Many different terms used for similar treatments: Stem Cell Therapy, PRP and Regenerative Therapy. Agents of Healing introduces a treatment plan which requires one injection that treats the cause of pain and does not mask the symptom with pain killers. The main part of the treatment plan is the injection using amniotic fluid in combination with PRM (Platelet Rich Matrix). Agents of Healing also uses external energy and nutrition to aid in the healing process and give you the best chance for results. Agents of Healing can give you a complete treatment plan to help you live pain free.
Agents of Healing is Available in the Michigan and Ohio Area
What are Stem Cells?
Cells in the body have the capacity to differentiate into virtually every type of tissue in the body. For treating hip and knee joints, we are interested in Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC).
There are 4 sources for these stem cells:
1) Amniotic Placental Fluid
2) Cord Blood
3) Bone Marrow
4) Fat (Adipose)
Fat and bone marrow MSCs are adult stem cells which replicate slower than juvenile MSCs which are in Amniotic Fluid and Cord Blood. Cord blood can have the mother's DNA in it which causes serious inflammatory responses in patients resulting in high temperature spikes. Amniotic fluid on the other hand has juvenile stem cells and does not create a negative
inflammatory response. Juvenile stem cells can rapidly replicate. One cell can replicate into 1 billion cells in 30 days as opposed to adult cells replicating 1 cell into 300 to 400 within 30 days. The healing potential found in placental tissue is tremendous and does not have any additional pain or recovery time from the donor site. Harvesting adult stem cells does have additional recovery time and pain at the extraction site.
Amniotic Tissue Matrix
The amniotic tissue matrix that Agents of Healing uses has been processed to maintain the structural properties of the growth factors, collagen, hyaluronic acid, cytokines, proteins and exosomes found in amniotic tissues. This flowable tissue may be applied directly to the treated area via needle deployment from your physician. Amniotic tissue is a rich source of various biologically active elements involved in tissue regeneration with reported anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, epithelialization, and anti-fibrotic properties, making it an attractive biomaterial for regenerative therapy. The amniotic tissue matrix used in injections are obtained from healthy mothers who have had healthy cesarean deliveries and they have gone through extensive testing before donating their placenta.
PRM
(Platelet Rich Matrix) This is a non-surgical treatment that uses components of the patient's own blood to promote the body's ability to heal. This technology is not new; It has been used for years in plastic, cardiothoracic, and orthopedic surgery. Platelets have growth factors which when released become conductors for stem cells to do the healing which is essential for repairing injured tissue.
Nutrition
Nutriction is the most important factor affecting your body's ability to heal. Agents of Healing promotes the Mediterranean diet. This diet emphasizes eating mostly plant based foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts. The diet is loaded with anti-inflammatory foods. Another option to add to your diet is Ricochet which is an immunonutritional beverage. This beverage optimizes your immune system and is specially formualted to MAXIMIZE healing and MINIMIZE recovery time. Drink two bottles a day, six days before and after injection.
External Energy
The Juvent Platform provides soft, controlled impulses to the musculoskeletal system. Research demonstrates that these micro-impacts can help promote bone helath and potentially manage the effects of osteoporosis. With their increase in range of motion users report less joint and muscle pain along with improved balance and stability. You only need to use the Juvent Platform 20 minuets a day.
Cost
Your treatment costs vary depending on what your condition is and what it will require for healing your pain and injury. Just as the amount of time for healing to occur varies from patient to patient and the type of healing required. As of now, insurance does not cover regenerative treatments. Costs for surgical procedures that are covered by insurance can still be hard to endure both financially and with recovery time. Returning to work or other activities can be achieved quickly after having an injection as opposed to surgery.
Live Pain Free
Many patients can experience significant improvements after a single treatment. These treatments help to regenerate and restore injured tissue and can reduce or eliminate pain. Injections can be given to the hip, knee shoulder, elbow, ankle and smaller joints. These treatments are safe and reliable with a quick recovery period. In over 100 years, there has not been one documented adverse reaction after more than 3,000 clinical studies and 100,000 injections. Juvenile stem cells are used in this treatment because these young cells replicate faster than adult stem cells and can speed up the healing process.
Agents of Healing has shown to be successful in:
Treating arthritis in hip and knee joints
Decreasing risk of recurrent symptoms
Improving healing and avoiding surgery
Improving tendon healing
Accelerating recovery time from injury
Treating the cause of pain not the symptoms of pain
